About The Ranch

The Original Homestead

Where It Began

A Working Ranch,
Quietly Refined

The Ranch began as a working homestead — cattle, horses, and a single stone house built to survive the coastal winters, not to be admired.

Over four generations, the land was never sold off in pieces, only cared for more deliberately. What guests experience today is that same restraint, simply given room to breathe.

A Brief History

Four Generations
On This Land

1894

The original stone homestead is built on what was then open grazing land along the coast.

1947

The stables are expanded and the first formal bloodlines for the estate's horses are established.

1986

The barns are gently restored for the first guests, beginning the estate's shift toward private hospitality.

Today

The Ranch welcomes a limited number of guests each season, keeping the working estate intact around them.

“We don’t manage an estate.
We keep faith with one.”
